چکیده
The oscillatory behaviour of the power system is an aspect that significantly affected by increasing integration converter-based generation sources. Several works address impact non-synchronous on operation from different points view, but only a few studies focus power-frequency oscillations with prevalence sources interfaced through electronics. A lack research can be found in particular comparative analysis two main control strategies for converters, namely grid-following and grid-forming. article aims to contribute this direction, starting theoretical structures then examining case study existing transmission system. provides specific insight into fundamental aspects related synchronisation mechanism inertial capabilities both synthetic inertia grid-forming controls. difference relationship between unit capability recognised as determining impacts characteristics observation derived applied actual high predominance generation, considering Colombian interconnected national study.

Power Converters for Grid Integration of Wind Power Systems
This paper presents the different power converters for grid integration of wind power systems. In wind power systems while integrating with grid, power quality issues are becoming more predominant. This can solve by using power electronics converters like two level back to back converter and matrix converters. Converters are compared on the basis of efficiencies, voltage conversion ratios and T...
متن کاملNew Strategy of Grid Connected Photovoltaic System Using Module Integrated Converters with B4 Inverter to Overcome Partial Shading Effect
This paper proposes a new configuration for solar energy conversion systems. One challenging issue of the photovoltaic (PV) systems is partial shading, and in this paper Module Integrated Converters (MIC) are used to overcome this problem in PV arrays. A few boost converters are employed as MICs to mitigate the shading effect. Furthermore, to reduce the cost and to increase the system performan...
متن کاملMultiobjective Retuning the Power System Stabilizer (PSS) of a Real Power Plant in Iran Grid
The safe operation of power system depends on its stability and security supply in all times. The dynamic instability (small signal instability) is one of phenomena that results in power system instability and has been discussed as a challenge in power system control and operation from a long time ago. Commonly the dynamic instability appears as undamped low frequency electromechanical oscillat...
متن کاملAn Advanced Hysteresis Controller to Improve Voltage Profile of Power System with PV Units: A Smart Grid Power Exchange Framework
Unlike traditional power grids, smart grids have the advantage of bidirectional power flow and having distributed generations. Distributed generation systems are usually supplied by renewable sources which can cause unpredicted voltage fluctuations as a result of being intermittent. While traditional compensating devices deal with the problem of voltage fluctuation and reduced power quality wit...
